When I look at the real estate market data, I see that 64,000 homeowners listed their home last week. (Source: Altos Research)
I see that a record percent of Americans are looking to buy a home this year. The highest level since the survey started in 2020. (Source: Nerdwallet)
And as helpful as it is to know that, no, the market isn’t frozen, yes, people are buying and selling real estate every single day…that data doesn’t really help you answer this:
Is 2025 the best time to sell MY house? Is 2025 the best time for ME to buy?
The truth is, you’ll never be able to time the market.
Whether or not you should buy or sell this year depends on what’s right for your situation:
✨ Can I comfortably cover my mortgage? 🏦
✨ Do I have enough equity to cover moving costs? 🚚
✨ Am I ready for the stress of moving? 📦
✨ Do my long-term goals support a change? 🔄
✨ Is there a clear plan for my next home? 🗺️
Don’t rely on the news, or Reddit threads, or community Facebook pages to help you make real estate decisions.
